Erbolat Dossaev

Mr. Dossaev started as Managing Director of Accept Corporation and was soon appointed First Vice President and General Director of the company in 1996 and 1997. He worked as Vice Chairman of BankTuranAlem JSC and Chariman and CEO of Almaty Merchant Bank from 1997 to 1998. Mr. Dossaev subsequently became Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1998 and served as Vice Minister at the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan between 1998 and 2000. He worked as Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2000 to 2001. He was also the first Chairman of the Board of Directors of Development Bank of Kazakhstan in 2001. Between 2001 and 2003 Mr. Dossaev held positions of Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Member of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors Council and also Member of the Board of Directors of Development Bank of Kazakhstan . From 2003 to 2004 Mr. Dossaev worked as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in the meantime served as Governor of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Kazakhstan and Member of the Governing Board of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. Between 2003 and 2006 he was a Member of the National Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Mr. Dossaev worked as Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2004 to 2006.
Mr. Dossaev is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of Lancaster Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of KazInvestBank. He is a co-founder of DARA charity foundation. He is also a co-founder of the Alumni Fund of the Republican Physics and Mathematics School (RPMS), its longtime contributor and a Member of its Alumni Committee.
Mr. Dossaev was born in 1970 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He studied at the Almaty Energy Institute and the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Mr. Dossaev is married and has two children. His interests are tennis, skiing and golf.
