Askar Amrin
Member of the Board of Directors

 

Askar Amrin started as Legal Counsel at the State Centre for Pension Payment in 1997. He then moved to the Department of legislation and international law at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Between 1998 and 2000 Mr. Amrin held various high-level positions within the department, including Senior Specialist of the office for registration of regulatory acts, Senior Specialist of the protocol and international law office, Chief of the expertise and law project office, and Assistant Director of the Department of legislation and international law. In 2000 he was appointed Director of the Department of legislation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2001 to 2003 Mr. Amrin worked as Assistant Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for regulation of natural monopoly, protection of competition and support of small business. He then served as Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2003 to 2006. In 2007 Mr. Amrin joined Lancaster Invest as Vice President.

Mr. Amrin is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of Lancaster Group and Vice President of Lancaster Invest.

Mr. Askar Marin was born in 1975 in North Kazakhstan. He is a graduate of Karaganda State University in Kazakhstan and holds a degree in International Law. Mr. Amrin is married and has two children. In his spare time he enjoys chess, mountain hiking and fishing.
